Proper Oral Hygiene Fights Plaque And Prevents Swollen Gums

One should always check how your teeth feels like when you roll your tongue over them. Be able to recognize if it feels good or it feels rough. If you feel that your teeth feels rough, chances are you have the build up of tartar. When plaque – a film of colorless bacteria hardens on your teeth, it is already called calculus or tartar. The lack of proper oral hygiene cause plaque to build up and tartar eventually collect above the gum line, providing more sticky surfaces for plaque to accumulate and make tartar collected on the gum margin. This can be a vicious cycle can causing dental problems such as swollen gums, gum disease, bad breath, and bleeding gums. Which is why plaque removal is critical.
